Keep your eyes peeled, change is coming to Riverfront Park. With the goal of freshening up the neighborhood, our community will soon embark on changes further solidifying Riverfront Park as one of Denver’s most desirable, dynamic and visited neighborhoods in Denver. As we move further into the summer we will keep you apprised of all the changes you can expect but today, we have one particularly exciting event to share:
Recently the Mexican Consulate General and Mexican Cultural Center Denver gave the city a call to see if we’d be interested in displaying the art of world-renowned Mexican sculpturist, Jorge Marin. Uh, yes, please!
What & Where:
The internationally travelled exhibit is titled Wings of the City and consists on nine bronze statues that will be displayed along Commons Park promenade. We don’t want to give away too much information because you have to experience the exhibit for yourself but we can tell you there are wings, masks and acrobats involved.
Today through September. If you’re in the neighborhood, stop by Commons Park today at 3:30pm for the Opening Ceremony as the exhibit is officially unveiled. In attendance will be Mayor Michael Hancock and the artist himself, Jorge Marin.
