4402 w 36th ave

4402 w 36th is part of the newer community along 38th behind Sprout’s market. As the newer builds go, it is nice and spacious. It has mid grade finishes typical of the late 90′s- early 2000′s.

The drawbacks include that it’s alongside Tennyson which tends to be a little busier and it’s a bit pricey for an attached unit. It’s a great location and has plenty of space, so it’s worth a look.

3390 w 33rd

The basement and main room of this place are gigantic. The lack of any separation is a little strange, but the place is very spacious. You could always add a bedroom to the basement which already has a bathroom.

What’s really cool about 3390 w 33rd ave is the top floor deck and bar area along with 2 bedrooms. It has a giant master on the second floor with his and her walk in closets as well as another bedroom and bathroom. My only complaint is that it’s a middle unit, and there is no light coming in from the sides. The main floor and the basement seemed a little dark, but the top two floors were fine. You really can’t beat the location with the proximity to all that Highlands Square has to offer. Check it out.

3993 w Clyde ave

They did a great job with the kitchen remodel on this one. A huge open layout allows promotes a togetherness and functionality. The master has great finishes as well, the only drawback is that it’s located in the basement. Other than that, 3993 Clyde backs to the commercial district, but it isn’t so close to 38th that it’s noisy. I think the interior deserves a look. It’s a bit pricey at mid $400k’s.

3770 Osceola st.

Ah Modern Design. I love it. Huge ceilings, a finished basement, clean lines, and the freshness of a new build all call out to you as you walk through the door of this modern gem in the Highlands. The two car garage is even attached out back so you don’t have to walk through the cold. The master won’t disappoint with plenty of space. My only caution is that it could be a little too modern for some. Some furniture could serve to break up the great room a bit.

3633 Perry st.

A year ago, a property like this would have gone close to $300k, but this isn’t 2012 anymore. A lovely aroma greets you in this Highlands bungalow as you walk through the door. Classic trim, a jack and Jill bathroom and a great location are definitely some reasons to take a look at 3622 Perry st. The only weird thing was the fridge in the hall…

3611 Quitman st.

Drumroll…. the cheapest property in the Highlands right now. The listing agent is being honest when she calls it a cottage. It’s not really a house, and walking up to it it doesn’t even seem like you’ll be able to stand up inside. (Though you can) This little guy is more suited for a development opportunity than rehabilitation.

3110 Stuart st

3110 Stuart street has character! This Victorian looms over the street perched high on the hill. Upon approaching, a wrap around patio glows with charm. The entire upstairs serves as an over sized master suite with a study, living area, deck and bedroom. My only complaint would be that the size of the master bath is inordinately small relative to the rest of the master. Out back is an artists studio. Drawbacks? The floor plan is not the most

open, and though it fits with the architecture, i can’t say i’m a fan of the fish scale siding on Victorians, though that is only my opinion. Check it out if you’re looking for something a little classier than usual. The options in this price range present the buyer some options. IMO, given the age, this house is currently too expensive for minds to meet. For example, check out the post on 4231 w 32nd for a little more bang for your buck.

4231 w 32nd ave

This was the coolest house i saw all day. Seriously, who has a laundry room that

awesome in the Highlands? This house is huge, with a master suite with a walk in closet and deck, a patio out back and a small basement for storage. The only thing out of place was that the kitchen is mid-grade while the rest of the house seems to be above that. Definitely one of the cooler properties on the market right now, and don’t forget the two car garage out back.

4906 w 32nd ave

I love the way Tudors look from the outside. This has house has some smooth concrete that beckons you to approach. The outside is simply stunning.

The kitchen has been redone very nicely. Sliding glass doors open to an amazing deck and yard. I could just imagine eating dinner out there on a nice spring evening.

In my opinion, the house needs textured, and the basement could use a little touch up.Other things to be aware of – the house is on 32nd ave which is not the calmest street, although not the busiest either.
