A new high rise tower is coming to the Union Station and Riverfront Park and it’s generating a great deal of excitement. Denver’s East West Partners and Amstar Advisers have joined forces to bring a 342 residence residential tower on the final parcel in the hot Union Station neighborhood.

We couldn’t be more excited. Denver residents have been begging for some new development projects in the high rise sector. It has been almost 10 years since developers brought us new high rise downtown living options such as the Glass House, SPIRE and One Lincoln. New construction slowed down with the market and then changes in developer construction liability laws encouraged much more apartment and office building development.

The drought is ending and we can’t wait to see how the market reacts to the Coloradan offering. From reports in the Denver Post article “Union Station development topping off with 342 condos” the new offering will range from studio condominium to penthouses with prices beginning around $250,000 and going up from there. The Coloradan will also include a affordable housing residences as part of the new ordinance with the Office of Economic Development.

Construction is projected to start next summer with a 2018 completion date. The Denver Post article reported that GBD Architects of Portland, Ore., is designing The Coloradan building. With East West Partners, the developer of the Glass House, codeveloping this project we expect another amazing amenity rich project. Proposed amenities include 19,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, a 452-stall parking garage, rooftop pool deck and club room, fitness room and residents’ garden.
