Union Station’s Newest Restaurant
One of the wonderful things about living in Riverfront Park is the plentiful dining options within footsteps of your front door. With the growth of Union Station and LoHi these options feel like they are expanding exponentially every week.
The newest offering due to open for the Riverfront Denver area will be Pig and Sprout in Union Station. Their new location and signage is moving toward completion in the King Sooper Building located at 20th and Chestnut. The new location is going to take advantage of their corner location to offer two outdoor patios for seating (at least according to the rendering on their Facebook Page).
With a name like Pig and Sprout you can count on one thing for sure… delicious meat entrees. This new restaurant is planning to bring us delicious meats and lighter fare with the freshest ingredients and masterful culinary skills. The Pig and Sprout will be the second restaurant from Andy Ganick, owner of Stapleton’s pork-centric Berkshire Restaurant. If this in anything like their first restaurant this should be a real treat for the neighborhood.
Plus we can’t wait for all the patio seating, bistro dining, and beverage toasting energy to replace the construction blockades and maintenance flags along these beautifully designed Union Station neighborhood blocks. It is certainly worth the wait, but we still can’t help but be excited with each new announcement.
Cheers to Pig and Sprout! Welcome to the neighborhood.
Expected opening in the next month or so (May or June 2016).
